 Bo R (Roland) Holmberg, writer, born in 1945 in Ångermanland, living in Örnsköldsvik, a city in the north of Ångermanland, Sweden, famous for its ice-hockey players.
H. has written more than thirty books, including books for children, young adults and adults.

His most recent books are:
Eddie Bolander & me (Eddie Bolander & jag), a graphic novel for young adults, illustrated by Katarina Strömgård, which won the August Prize in 2005.
Fireman's trap (Väktarsax), a historical crime novel for adults.
Skuggaren (The Shadower), a crime novel for young adults.

Books to be published this autumn (2006) are:
Fladdermusräddaren (The Rescuer of Bats), a children´s book, illustrated by Gunilla Kvarnström.
Uppviglaren (The Agitator), a historical crime novel for adults.

Bo R Holmberg's books have been translated into Danish, Faeroese, Finnish, French, German, Japanese, Norwegian and Taiwanese.

H.was awarded the Astrid Lindgren Prize in 1998 and the August Prize in 2006 .
